The Groundings PEV Group Ride Tour Hits Chicago and DC this Year

If you are like me you are always looking to try and do new things on my PEV’s. For my fellow PEV enthusiasts! This summer is going to be epic with The Groundings PEV Group Ride Tour hitting Chicago and Washington, DC.
This year seems to be bigger and better for both rides since PEV’s are gaining traction in the US. These events promise a weekend filled with fun, camaraderie, thrilling group rides, and a chance to connect with riders from all over the world.
What: The Groundings Chicago 2024 - PEV Group Ride
When: Dates: Saturday, June 22 - Sunday, June 23
Where: Location: 31st Street Beach, 31st Street, Chicago, IL 60616
There will be tons of PEV rides and fun activities to enjoy. The beautiful 31st Street Beach will provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable weekend.
Jeff Lovell, who's been part of the Groundings organizing team since 2021, shared his excitement:
"Groundings is a weekend of group rides with something for everyone. It's all-PEV friendly, so whether you ride a onewheel, EUC, ebike, esk8, or escoot, you're welcome to join us. We've designed most of the rides with 10 or 15 mile segments between breaks, cruising around 20mph, with regular chances for slower machines to catch up. Safety is always our top priority, and our route leaders will stop traffic and hold intersections when needed. And Saturday night? It's always an after-dark ride, a dazzling display of blinky lights!"
